Are you or a loved one unable to come to the library due to a disability or long-term illness? Then let us bring the library to you!
We provide large-print materials, as well as books and audiobooks from our regular collection, to qualifying patrons served by Chatham Community Library, Wren Memorial Library, and Goldston Library. Books and other materials are delivered to qualifying patrons through Outreach Services, which supports the library’s mission to encourage lifelong learning and community engagement by all members of our community.
If you or a loved one are a resident of Chatham County AND are one of the following:
- a recipient of Meals on Wheels
- a resident of a senior care facility in Chatham County
- a participant in an adult day center in Chatham County
- have a documented disability that prevents you from driving
then you may qualify for Outreach Services’ Books and More To Your Door home-bound delivery service.
You may also apply for short-term services if you are unable to drive due to surgery or major illness. Short-term service is approved at the discretion of the Outreach Coordinator.
